A community of talented faculty, students and alumni who value our commitment to service and excellence. Seton Hall is a uniquely collegial law school in New Jersey where students enjoy close relationships to professors throughout their law school experience and beyond. Our strong network of dedicated alumni and great law school professors are invaluable and accessible resources to our students.
Unparalleled legal education in an open learning environment that yields limitless opportunities. Students benefit from the ability to hone their legal skills before they graduate by participating in a variety of experiential learning opportunities.
Seton Hall Clinical Programs provide not only a path to careers in Public Interest, but provide our students with the hands on experience that firms, corporations and government entities alike value.
- Pro Bono Service Program: Students volunteer to provide legal service to clients under faculty supervision.
- Center for Social Justice: Students register for semester(s) of service to work on real cases in the areas of civil litigation, civil rights and Constitutional litigation, family law, immigrants' rights and International human rights, and juvenile justice.
- Conflict Management Program: Students represent clients in mediation proceedings.
Students earn credit for semester(s) of work in a public or government office outside of the school, including but not limited to placements at the Community Health Law Project, the Internal Revenue Service, the New Jersey Department of the Public Advocate, the New York Legal Assistance Group, and the Urban Revitalization Initiative.
Students get an insider’s view of the judicial system from behind the bench when they work for a judge at the state or federal level. Clerkships also allow students to refine legal research and writing skills.
The practical experiences students gain in the clinics and externship programs really enhance their legal education and prepare them for their future careers. We encourage you to explore Seton Hall Law and all we have to offer.
