Seton Hall Law School is deeply honored that Governor Christie has nominated Walter Timpone for the New Jersey State Supreme Court. A 1979 graduate, Wally both embodies and epitomizes the excellence that defines a Seton Hall Lawyer.

Wally’s many accomplishments during his years of public service reflect a dedication to justice and the protection of our citizens’ rights – as Chief of Special Prosecutions in the U.S. Attorney’s office where he fought against corruption and fraud; as the first Federal Election Monitor in Passaic County, where he helped to secure the voting rights of the county’s Hispanic citizens; and today, as a Commissioner on the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission, where he brings his extensive knowledge of campaign finance regulations and laws to bear on current issues.

I have known Wally for two decades, and can personally attest that he is a superb candidate for the State Supreme Court and will serve our state with integrity, compassion and a great intellect.
