Final Undergraduate Transcripts

All matriculating students must provide undergraduate transcripts to Seton Hall University School of Law to maintain good academic standing and continuous enrollment. Failure to provide transcripts as provided below will result in administrative withdrawal from Seton Hall Law School.

Should administrative withdrawal occur due to lack of transcripts there shall be no tuition or fee refunds provided.

The following are deadlines for each program:

Juris Doctor (JD)

The American Bar Association (ABA) requires that all incoming Juris Doctor students provide to their law school final, official transcripts verifying all academic credits undertaken and all degrees conferred. This includes final, official transcripts for all undergraduate (associate and bachelor’s degrees) and graduate programs and must show conferral of the respective degree where appropriate.

All matriculating students (1L and 2L transfers) must provide final undergraduate transcripts no later than September 15 via the Law School Admissions Council Credentials Assembly Service, except students matriculating under a 3+3 program with a partner university.

3+3 Students must provide complete transcripts up through their entry into Seton Hall Law by August 1 year via the Law School Admissions Council Credentials Assembly Service. 3+3 Students must provide final official transcripts, inclusive of degree conferral, no later than October 1 of their 2L year at Seton Hall Law School.

Master of Legal Studies (MLS)

MLS students must provide final undergraduate transcripts within 30 days of starting study in the MLS program except students in an approved 3.5+1 program.

MLS students in a 3.5+1 program must provide final undergraduate transcripts, inclusive of degree conferral, no later than the Friday 3 weeks into their second semester of MLS study at Seton Hall Law.

Master of Laws (LLM)

LLM students, both American Law and specialty, must provide final undergraduate transcripts by October 1.
