Ushering in the holidays at Night of Lights

Congratulations to Izik Gutain '18, who won the gingerbread house raffle, and thanks to Matthew Goss '17, who dressed up as Santa to the delight of the children who joined us

Seton Hall Law ushered in the holiday season on November 30, celebrating Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, the Three Kings, EID and Diwali.

Dean Kathleen M. Boozang welcomed members of the Seton Hall Law community who gathered in the Atrium to enjoy a special performance by the Seton Hall University Chamber Chorus, led by Dr. Jason C. Tramm.

Father Nicholas Gengaro, Chaplain of Seton Hall Law, led the celebration, including the blessing of the Christmas Manger and the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Students introduced the many holidays that grace this time of year: Benjamin Heller ‘17, Chanukah; Dina Ibrahim ‘16, EID; Sheena Shah ‘17, Diwali; Alejandra Guttierez '17, Three Kings Day; and Renee Wilson ‘18, Kwanzaa.

Father Gengaro explained the spiritual and metaphorical significance of light across the world, “as a symbol of hope, enlightenment, endurance, constancy, joy, warmth and loving kindness.”
