Dean Boozang honored by the New Jersey Law Journal
Dean Boozang embodies the core values of Seton Hall Law: integrity, loyalty and engagement
The New Jersey Law Journal, the state's leading legal publication, has named Kathleen M. Boozang, Dean and Professor of Law, a 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner.
The Law Journal presents this award each year to 25 leading members of the bench and bar who have shaped and transformed the state’s legal landscape. That distinction precisely describes Dean Boozang's mission and her many accomplishments since she joined the Law School in 1990.
Dean Boozang's work in building the internationally renowned Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law & Policy – now in its 20th year in U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of the top 10 health law programs – as well as her leadership in developing the Legal Practice Curriculum, in launching the highly successful Healthcare Compliance Certification Program, and the Division of Online Learning, has transformed legal education for future Seton Hall lawyers, and provided vital professional development opportunities for industry executives.
The New Jersey Law Journal is one of many organizations recognizing Dean Boozang's this spring: NJBIZ Magazine named her among the 2016 Best 50 Women in Business; the Institute for Nursing honored her for her dedication to legal education in healthcare; the Catholic Community of Saints Peter and Paul in Hoboken will pay tribute to her on April 28; and in May, the Executive Women of New Jersey will honor Dean Boozang for her achievements as well as for her tireless work in empowering other women to fulfill their potential.
