Seton Hall Clinical Programs provide not only a path to careers in Public Interest, but provide our students with the hands on experience that firms, corporations and government entities alike value. Sample clinical program include:
- Pro Bono Service Program: Students volunteer to provide legal service to clients under faculty supervision.
- Center for Social Justice: Students register for semester(s) of service to work on real cases in the areas of civil litigation, civil rights and Constitutional litigation, family law, immigrants' rights and International human rights.
- Conflict Management Program: Students represent clients in mediation proceedings.
Students can earn credit for semester(s) of work in a public or government office outside of the school.
Students get an insider’s view of the judicial system from behind the bench when they work for a judge at the state or federal level. Clerkships also allow students to refine legal research and writing skills.
The Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law exists to educate lawyers and health care industry professionals regarding the complex set of laws that govern patients, health care providers, manufacturers, and suppliers.
The Seton Hall Law Gibbons Institute of Law, Science & Technology educates and trains the next generation of attorneys and professionals for the complex issues they will face as scientific and technological advances challenge business, law, and legal institutions.
The Institute for Privacy Protection educates consumers and businesses to provide inter-disciplinary forums to address emerging privacy issues by educating professionals, businesses, and organizations.
The Center for Social Justice is one of the nation’s strongest pro bono and clinical programs, enabling students to gain hands-on experience while providing legal services are provided to economically disadvantaged area residents.
The Center for Policy and Research provides law students with an uncommon opportunity to gain experience in forensic analysis and investigation through research into national policies and practices.
