Seton Hall Law is Pleased to Have Honored Three Graduates at 2018 Alumni Gala
Seton Hall Law is pleased to have awarded Thomas P. Scrivo ’89, Managing Partner, O’Toole Scrivo Fernandez Weiner Van Lieu, LLC with the Distinguished
Graduate Award. He vividly remembers his first days at the Law School: “Seton Hall
Law was very welcoming, and I instantly identified with everyone walking the halls,”
Scrivo recalls. “I get the same feeling when I come back today;” and he returns frequently,
often to meet with Professor Denis McLaughlin’s classes. Despite the passage of the
years, he see current 1Ls and 2Ls as having the same thirst for knowledge he shared
with his classmates. “Students today are mirror images of who we were 30 years ago,”
he says.

Seton Hall Law is pleased to have awarded The Honorable Madeline Cox Arleo '89 of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey with the Public Servant
Award. Judge Arleo has always had a lively interest in the criminal justice system
having come from a of law enforcement family. And there was “no question” she would
attend Seton Hall Law when she graduated from college. What she found surprising was
that she “had more fun in law school than I did in college,” thanks to the great group
of friends whose comradery continues today. “It shaped my experience in the law --
from first becoming an attorney to now serving in the United States District Court
for the District of New Jersey. I’m proud to say I’m a Seton Hall Lawyer.”
