Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate Program

About The Program

Today, more than ever, companies are dealing with data privacy risks and are looking for professionals to mitigate those risks.  Invest and take your career to the next level with a certificate from Seton Hall Law School. Are you looking to safeguard your firm or organization's reputation? Do you want to have the confidence to respond like the experts to the legal, regulatory and ethical issues that they face on a daily basis? Data protection laws are very complex and organizations face steep consequences for mishandling sensitive data. Do you fully understand the concepts and frameworks for corporate compliance?     

This program is designed to deliver an intensive review of global privacy and cybersecurity laws and compliance standards led by a faculty of Seton Hall Professors and experienced practitioners. In addition to learning about legal and compliance standards, artificial intelligence governance and privacy program management, participants will have opportunities to interact and network with each other and with faculty.

This comprehensive program offers four bootcamp sessions that will train and prepare you to successfully take and pass the industry standard certification exams offered by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).  The bootcamp sessions include trainings for the:

Program Format & Schedule 

The Program is designed in four flexible one-day bootcamp sessions that will be held either in-person at Seton Hall Law School (One Newark Center, Newark, NJ 07102) or virtually via Zoom. Each session will prepare participants for the certification exams administered by the IAPP and registration includes a free e-textbook for each session.   

  1. CIPP / US Bootcamp - November 4, 2026 (In-Person)
  2. AIGP Bootcamp - January 20, 2027 (Virtual)
  3. CIPM Bootcamp - March 10, 2027
  4. CIPP / E - April 21, 2027

Participants can earn a Certificate from Seton Hall Law's Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate Program by enrolling and attending all four bootcamp sessions. Or sign up for the individual sessions a la carte that fit your professional needs and schedule.

Interested in only taking one or more of the individual bootcamps?  Each bootcamp a la carte is $250.  

CIPP / US Bootcamp: $250 - November 4, 2026 (In-Person)

CIPM Bootcamp: $250 - March 10, 2027 (In-Person)
CIPP / E: $250 - April 21, 2027 (Virtual)

We offer free re-enrollment for any former attendee who does not pass one of the bootcamp exams administered by the IAPP.
