Congresswoman LaMonica McIver offers a message of pride, gratitude and purpose rooted in her personal connection to Seton Hall University and her commitment to public service on the law school’s 75th anniversary.

A Seton Hall alumna, McIver reflects on the law school’s role as a pillar of Newark and a powerful force for justice in New Jersey’s 10th Congressional District and beyond. She credits education as a pathway to opportunity, shaped by her own experience at Seton Hall and her work in the Newark Public School system.

McIver’s support for the law school extends beyond words. This year, she secured $627,000 in federal funding for a Seton Hall Law project providing legal services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, strengthening the community and advancing access to justice.

In celebrating the milestone, McIver applauds the faculty, staff, students and alumni whose dedication has defined Seton Hall Law for 75 years, and she expresses confidence that the institution will continue producing leaders who serve with integrity, courage and impact.
