Donor Helps Establish Bar Prep Assistance Fund
This fall, Walsh, Pizzi, O’Reilly, Falanga, LLP generously commited $100,000 to Seton Hall Law to create a Bar Prep Assistance Fund that will provide financial assistance to recent graduates during their bar examination preparation.
Partner in the firm and driving force behind the substantial gift, Liza M. Walsh ’84 (pictured far right,) hopes to relieve the burden many experience during that stressful rite of passage in their lives.
“The emotional and financial health is magnified, we know how hard that time can be in a prospective lawyer’s life,” Walsh says.
While the goal will be to provide academic support during bar preparations, Walsh also has hopes that her firm’s gift will have a dual purpose and inspire others to give back. “This is a simple way to pay it forward in recognition of all of those who helped us,” says Walsh of giving to her alma mater. “Knowing we can make a difference, brings us incredible joy.”
Having met so many young lawyers and alumni today, Walsh is most impressed with present-day students.
“I’m hopeful for their future,” Walsh praises.
And with the gift from Walsh, Pizzi, O’Reilly, Falanga, LLP, there is even more for young lawyers to be hopeful for.
