Seton Hall University School of Law to host inaugural Artificial Intelligence Governance
Professional (AIGP) Bootcamp as part of the overarching Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate Program on March 13 and 14.
As professionals and individuals look to integrate AI into their businesses and organizations, Seton Hall Law stays committed to providing learners with accessible information they need to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies. Keeping pace with changes in AI can be challenging. Therefore, learners should attend the latest compliance training event to develop a deeper understanding of AI and the current regulatory landscape.
Day one of the program features the exam prep for the AIGP certification exam. Exclusive study materials have been authored with the legal acumen of technology experts and professors. Attendees will receive complimentary materials covering essential compliance standards and best practices, along with some exam strategies to tackle the certification exam.
The bootcamp on March 13th will begin with the introductory principles of AI. Attendees will learn how to develop responsible AI systems considering the framework of emerging laws and current policies. Day two emphasizes the intersection of AI, data privacy, and security featuring panels of experts to cover the regulatory and corporate landscapes.
Seton Hall Law faculty-led sessions will be taught by David Opderbeck, Professor of Law, Co-Director, Gibbons Institute of Law, Science & Technology, and the Institute for Privacy Protection. The program boasts of having leading industry professionals from Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ, Prudential, Gibbons P.C., Pfizer, Red Clover Advisors, Seton Hall University, Connell Foley LLP, Amazon.com (Amazon Autos), BakerHostetler, Gilead Sciences, and Legend Biotech.
Professor Opderbeck says, "Our flexible format enables anyone to learn more about the rapidly growing field of safe and trustworthy AI and to prepare for the IAPP’s AIGP exam. The AI landscape changes fast so it can be hard to know where to begin, which is why our program is taught by leaders in the field who are engaging with these questions every day."
Attendees can also look to an April session of the Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP/E) Bootcamp for data privacy and security law – GDPR compliance in Europe. The Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate Program offers a deep dive into global privacy laws, compliance strategies & case studies to produce robust leadership and know how in the ever-changing, complex field of data privacy and data regulation. The program is designed for professionals from a wide cross-section of industry sectors, including healthcare, financial services, insurance, technology, legal, higher education, marketing, and many others. The curriculum provides a strong foundation for roles requiring privacy expertise, including risk, marketing, IT and data security professionals, general counsel, and law firm partners and associates.
