US Attorney Carpenito operationalized a vision for the office that positively impacted the lives of the citizens of New Jersey, which he accomplished through significant organizational change and strengthened relationships with state and city law enforcement. The office oversaw an increased prosecution of violent crimes, civil rights violations, and Medicare fraud. Mr. Carpenito’s success was rewarded by the Attorney General’s appointment of Mr. Carpenito to lead both the COVID-19 Hoarding and Price Gouging Task Force and the Task Force on Violent Anti-Government Extremists.
Dean Kathleen Boozang congratulated Mr. Carpenito, saying, “Seton Hall Law has a strong commitment to producing lawyers dedicated to public service. Craig Carpenito epitomizes the public servant ethos Seton Hall Law seeks to inculcate in our students. His tenure modeled for future Seton Hall Lawyers the transformative power of service to the public, and his hiring of so many Seton Hall Lawyers into the U.S. Attorney’s Office furthers our mission. And as the third woman dean of Seton Hall Law, I send my hearty congratulations to the second woman to oversee the US Attorney’s Office in the District of New Jersey. Rachael is superbly qualified.”
