We want you to feel that, as part of Seton Hall Law School, you're now part of a community, in Newark and beyond. This community exists in downtown Newark, including the famous Ironbound section and its neighboring town of Harrison. It reaches to the Jersey Gold Coast in Hoboken, Jersey City and stretches across the Hudson into Manhattan, and even some of the outer boroughs. It extends into north Jersey suburbs such as South Orange (home of Seton Hall University), Maplewood, Montclair, and Westfield, all diverse and vibrant suburban towns. It also extends into central Jersey suburbs along the North Jersey Coast Line, including the borough of Red Bank, a commuter town (approximately one hour train ride to Seton Hall Law - 25% NJ Transit student discount available).
With such a wide variety of neighborhoods to choose from, and plenty of housing opportunities in each, there is sure to be something that feels right for you. Where to live is a crucial decision and it is not uncommon to have many questions; the Office of the Dean of Students is available to aid you throughout the process. It is our hope that figuring out which part of our "neighborhood" is right for you will be easier than you imagine.
Begin your search and continue to research which neighborhood is right for you, what your commute will be like, or whether there are accommodations to fit your budget and lifestyle.
After you have done your research, connect with your peers at Seton Hall Law to find your roommate or a place to live.
