Seton Hall Law School will mark the beginning of the Holiday Season with a festive
community gathering on Monday, November 24, at 4 p.m. in the Law School atrium. The 28th Annual Night of Lights event brings together seasonal cheer, interfaith recognition, and family-friendly
activities. What began as an impromptu gathering after mass in 1998 has become a beloved
tradition for students, faculty, and staff.
The program will open with a blessing of the Christmas Crib and Tree by Fr. Nick, after which the Law School’s Christmas Tree will be lit for the first time this year. In a reflection of Seton Hall Law’s diverse community, Fr. Nick and the Student Bar Association will highlight additional fall and winter religious and cultural observances through displays created by participating Student Organizations.

Law School Community members can enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies while showing off an “ugly sweater,” decorate ornaments, and spread holiday cheer throughout the evening. Children of students, faculty, administration, and staff are welcome! According to organizers, there may even be a visit from Santa himself.
In the spirit of giving, the Law School community is also participating in the 26th Annual Toy Drive supporting New Community Corporation (NCC) in Newark. NCC serves children and families in Newark and surrounding areas. Donations may be placed in the atrium collection box through Monday, December 8.
Together, these activities signal the Law School’s warm and joyful entrance into the holiday season, celebrating community, tradition, and generosity.
