We are pleased to provide a list of scholarships from outside organizations.  Please carefully check the application requirements and deadlines, which may change from the information listed below.  If you are awarded a scholarship from an outside organization, you are required to report it to the Financial Aid Office/Office of Enrollment Services.

  1. American Association for Justice (AAJ) Mike Eidson Law Student Scholarship - Applicant must be a 3L(FT) or a 4L(PT). Awarded to a female student who has demonstrated a committment to a career as a trial lawyer. Applications are due in May.
  2. ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund - Each year, The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund awards 20 diverse students a $15,000 scholarship payable over their three years of law school.  Seton Hall Law will provide a matching scholarship for students who receive this scholarship.  Application due by March 1 annually.
  3. Atlantic County Bar Association Haneman-Perskie Scholarship - Applicants must be a resident of Atlantic County, NJ for one year prior to receiving the scholarship. Students may reapply each year. Application due between January 1 and May 1 annually.
  4. Association of Black Women Attorneys, Inc. - Awarded on the basis of community service, financial need and academic achievement. Application is due in early February.
  5. The Mark T. Banner Scholarship - awarded to a 2L or 3L law student interested in IP law.  Applications are due in November annually for the next academic year.
  6. The Richard L. Barbour Scholarship Fund - Awarded to a NJ resident accepted or attending law school who is seeking to pursue a career as a prosecuring attorney.  Applications are available in March from the Office of Enrollment Services, and due in May.
  7. Bergen County Bar Association - Applicants must be a resident of Bergen County, NJ. Applications may be obtained from the Office of Enrollment Services in May annually. Applications are due in August.
  8. Berks County Community Foundation - Awarded annually to a second year student who attended HS in Berks County, PA. Application is due in early April annually.
  9. Bronx County Bar Association - Applicants must be a resident of Bronx County, NY.  Applications are available in December and due in February annually.
  10. Burlington County Bar Foundation - Awarded to a law student in good standing and who has resided in, or been employeed in Burlington County, NJ within the last 10 years. Applications are due in March annually.
  11. Business & Professional Women NJ Foundation - Awarded to women seeking to further their education, advance their career or to enter the job market. Applicants must live within a 50-mile radius of Summit, NJ. Awards range from $500 to $1,500. Applications are due in March annually. 
  12. Camden County Bar Foundation - awards a $1,000 scholarship annually to students who are enrolled in a New Jersey law school and are residents of Camden County, NJ. Applications are available in September and due in February.
  13. Cole Schotz Diversity Scholarship - awarded in the spring to a second year, full-time law student who demonstrates academic excellence at both his/her undergraduate and law school.  Applications are available in March from the Office of Enrollment Services and due in July.
  14. Cumberland County Bar Foundation - Applicants must be resident of Cumberland County (NJ) for at least one year prior to the date of their application. Application may be obtained from the Office of Enrollment Services in February annually and due in mid-March.
  15. Dominican Bar Association Scholarship - Awarded to law student who demonstrates community service, academic commitment and financial need.  Applications are available in the spring and due in July.
  16. Essex County Bar Foundation - Annually awards scholarships for law students in the amount of $6,000.  Applicants must be residents of Essex County (NJ) and have significant ties to Essex County.  Applications may be obtained from the Office of Enrollment Services.
  17. Garden State Bar Association - Applicants must be a currently enrolled student in a New Jersey law school as a full-time or second year student or a part-time first, second or third year student. Applications may be obtained from the Office of Enrollment Services.
  18. Hispanic Bar Association of NJ - Awarded to a Hispanic American who are or have been residents of NJ attending an ABA approved law school.  Applications are available in May annually.
  19. Hudson County Bar Foundation - Awards a scholarship to students who are enrolled in law school or who have been accepted to law school for each new academic year. Applicants must be a resident of Hudson County, NJ.  Interested applicants must write to the Hudson County Bar Scholarship Committee, 583 Newark Avenue, Jersey City, NJ  07302 or contact 201-798-4708, or [email protected]  to request an application. Applications are available in January.
  20. Mercer County Bar Association - Awarded annually to a current or incoming law school student. Applicants must be a resident of Mercer County. NJ. Applications are due in September annually. 
  21. Monmouth County Bar Foundation - Applicants must be a resident of Monmouth County (NJ), a current law student or will be attending law school in the fall. Interested applicants must send a self-addressed envelope to Peter W. Kenny, Esq., President, The Monmouth County Bar Foundation, 365 Broad Street, (4th Floor), P.O. Box 580, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Deadline for obtaining an application is May 1.
  22. New Jersey State Bar Foundation - Awards up to nine scholarships to students entering their second and third year at a law school. Applications are available in January from the Office of Enrollment Services with a deadline of April 15.
  23. Ocean County Bar Foundation - Applicants must be residents of Ocean County, NJ. Applications are available in January with a due date of April.
  24. Passaic County Bar Association - Sponsors the Hon. Nicholas G. Mandak Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500 annually. Applicants must be a resident of Passaic County, NJ. Applications may be obtained from the Office of Enrollment Services in February with a due date of March.
  25. Pipeline to Practice Foundation is a non-profit organization that is committed to supporting and nurturing diverse law students and early-stage attorneys at key stages in their academic and professional development by providing access to free programming and coaching throughout law school that is critical to achieving academic excellence, developing the skills necessary to be successful attorneys, creating pathways to leadership positions, and ultimately, to become role models to the next generation of diverse law students. If you are planning to begin law school in the Fall, meet the scholarship criteria and wish to be considered for sponsorship, then complete the scholarship application prior to the deadline.
  26. Rhode Island Bar Foundation - awards a one year, non-renewable award for Rhode Island residents entering their first year of law school (full-time) in the Fall.  Applications are due in March annually.
  27. The Jean Robertson Women Lawyers Scholarship - A $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a woman currently attending a NJ law school.  Applications may be obtained from the Office of Enrollment Services in march and due in April, annually.
  28. Union County Bar Association - Ann P. Conti Scholarship - Applicants must be a resident of Union County, NJ. Applications are due in March annually.
