Last week marked the start of the new academic year for the award-winning Leadership Fellows Program, comprised of a selective cadre of Seton Hall Law students with demonstrated leadership ability. The Program’s Faculty Director and esteemed Professor Paula Franzese began the class on Leadership, Ethics, and Decision-Making by sharing with the rising lawyer-leaders several first principles of servant-leadership. She recounted wisdom gleaned, and best practices learned from her distinguished and lauded career in government and public service.
Trailblazing leader-lawyer Rehan Staton, Esq., a 2023 graduate of Harvard Law School and founder of the Reciprocity Effect, shared with the class his inspiring story of resilience, grace and overcoming great adversity to create a better life for his family and the larger communities of which he is an integral part. While in law school, Rehan founded the Reciprocity Effect,an exceptional not-for-profit organization that recognizes and honors the support staff of educational institutions. His work changes lives and perspectives for the better, reminding us of the power of mutual respect and community-building.
