Cristal Reyes is legal counsel at Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. ("BB&B"), a publicly traded company with a number of subsidiaries in retail (buybuyBABY, Cost Plus World Market, Christmas Tree Shops and Harmon Face Values) and business-to-business sales of linens and textiles (Harbor Linen and T-Y Group). Cristal oversees the legal affairs of BB&B's subsidiaries in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada and, when necessary, uses her proficiency in Spanish to review and analyze applicable legislation, regulations and statutes. While Cristal's role is primarily international, she also assists with domestic matters, including litigation, regulatory compliance and general corporate work. Prior to joining BB&B, Cristal was an associate at Waters, McPherson, McNeill P.C., where she concentrated her practice on civil litigation, government representation, property tax appeals and tax abatements. From 2012-2013, she worked as a judicial law clerk in the New Jersey Superior Court, Chancery Division for the Honorable Hector R. Velazquez, P.J.Ch.

Cristal is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law and Drew University. While in law school, she was a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board and competed on a national level, earning several honors and awards. Cristal was also selected to participate in the Immigrant's Rights/International Human Rights Clinic, where she assisted with U Visa, asylum, and wage-related matters. In addition, Cristal interned for the Prudential Financial, Inc., the city of Newark Law Department, the Honorable Martha T. Royster, J.S.C., and summered at Waters, McPherson, McNeill, P.C. Lastly, Cristal was active in the Latin American Law Student Association, where she served terms as President and Senior Advisor.

Cristal currently serves on various board and committees, including the Hispanic National Bar Association (Region III Deputy Regional President), North Hudson Lawyers Club (President), New Jersey State Bar Association ("NJSBA"), Minorities in the Profession Section (Chair-Elect), NJSBA In-House Counsel Committee, and Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (Trustee at Large - Young Lawyers Committee). Through these roles, she has spearheaded various networking, service, mentorship programs and CLEs for the New York and New Jersey legal communities.
