Adam M. Katz is an Assistant Professor of Law, teaching Contracts, and Business and
Taxation courses. Prior to his full-time teaching role, Professor Katz served for
six years as Adjunct Professor and developed the Financial Concepts for Lawyers course
at SHU Law. As a career practitioner, Professor Katz was a senior tax partner with
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and has over 35 years of experience advising multinational
businesses in corporate transactions including international tax planning and transfer
pricing. Professor Katz coordinated tax policy, including projects at the OECD, for
PwC’s global transfer pricing practice, and served as internal tax matters partner
to PwC for international tax and transfer pricing issues.
Professor Katz is accredited through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools
of Business (AACSB) Bridge Program as practitioner faculty and has also served as
Adjunct faculty at American University Washington College of Law and Kogod School
of Business, Georgetown University Law Center, and George Mason University Antonin
Scalia Law School. Professor Katz earned his LL.M in Taxation from New York University,
his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, and his B.A. in Accounting
from Rutgers University. Professor Katz is a member of the New York and New Jersey
Bars and is a CPA in Virginia, New York, and Maryland.
