Expansion of Sports Betting in NJ and Around the Country
March 7, 2022
On March 4, 2022, Seton Hall Law School Assistant Dean Devon Corneal sat down with the New Jersey Law Journal to discuss the expansion of sports betting in New Jersey and the need for comprehensive and robust compliance education for gaming operators. “Building an atmosphere of compliance and integrity in whatever business you’re in is vital to your reputational goals and your business goals,” said Dean Corneal, emphasizing that lawyers play an “important role” in helping companies understand the regulations they face. Dean Corneal noted that need can be met, in part, by Seton Hall Law School’s annual Gaming Law, Compliance and Integrity Bootcamp – an intensive compliance certificate program for industry professionals designed to help them build meaningful and responsive compliance programs within their companies and to maintain high standards of integrity and ethics throughout the industry.
