Dean Kathleen M. Boozang: “With the LL.M. degree now available through our Division of Online Learning, Seton Hall Law offers practicing attorneys around the world a unique opportunity for career development.”

Newark, New Jersey – Seton Hall Law announces that its Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Health Law is now available with a fully online program option through the Seton Hall Law Division of Online Learning.

Seton Hall’s Health Law program has been ranked among the Top 10 in U.S. News & World Report for the past 20 years,” said Timothy P. Glynn, Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Graduate and Professional Education. “The excellence of our LL.M. program in Health Law, originally offered only in the classroom, is one reason Seton Hall Law has achieved this recognition. Practicing attorneys around the globe can now take advantage of all the LL.M. degree has to offer through the convenience of an online program.”

The LL.M. degree is a 24-credit program that may completed in as little as one year or as long as six years. The program offers attorneys opportunities to deepen their expertise in compliance, to explore cutting edge issues in health law and policy, and to sharpen their legal skills in representing healthcare providers, payors, regulators, patients, and life sciences companies. Candidates may take courses online, in the classroom, or mix and match. LL.M. candidates also may pursue one of two sub-specialties, traditional health law or drug/device/biotechnology law. Some students also integrate intellectual property courses as part of their health law studies.

“The LL.M. degree program is rigorous and offers multiple options for practicing attorneys,” said Carl H. Coleman, Professor of Law and Academic Director of the Division of Online Learning. “Our internationally recognized faculty provide individualized support and attention to each student in every course, whether in-person or online. With so many courses available, students can tailor their program to their specific professional development needs.”

“Seton Hall Law has been at the forefront of health law education for decades, a natural evolution shaped by the industries within our region,” said Kathleen M. Boozang, Dean and Professor of Law, who launched the Seton Hall Law Center for Health & Pharmaceutical Law & Policy in 1993 and the Division of Online Learning in 2012. “New Jersey is home to the world’s largest concentration of pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech companies, and many other important healthcare institutions are based in this area.
