LL.M. Programs at Seton Hall Law

Requirements, Admissions, Financing

I am a foreign trained law student. Will I be able to sit for any state bar exam after completing the LLM program at Seton Hall Law?
Admission into any of our LLM programs does not guarantee or in any way suggest eligibility to sit for any state's bar examination, including New York or California.

How many credits will I need to graduate?
The LLM degree requires 24 credits.

What are your admissions standards?
While Seton Hall Law School does not use numerical cutoffs, only candidates with solid academic and personal credentials are encouraged to apply. The majority of accepted applicants have a grade point average in law school of 3.0 or higher. For applicants to specialized degree programs, grades in relevant courses will also be a factor in the admissions process. The Admissions Committee will consider all aspects of the application which includes: practice experience, graduate degrees in relevant fields, overall quality of law school academic record, demonstrated interest in the chosen area of study (health law, financial services, intellectual property law), personal statement, letters of recommendation, career goals and other significant professional achievements evidencing an ability to excel in academic pursuits.

What are your application requirements?
Requirements for all LLM programs can be found here.

When is the application deadline?
Financial Services Compliance and Health Law LLM applicants choosing the online option may start the program five times throughout the year.  Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
