Meet Patricia Bergamasco, Institute for Privacy Protection Student Fellow 2019-2020
Patricia Bergamasco is a third-year law student at Seton Hall Law for the 2019-2020
school year. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Ramapo College
of New Jersey. During her undergraduate studies, Patricia volunteered at a primary
school in her hometown where she assisted ESL students. Prior to attending law school,
Patricia worked for the International Rescue Committee (IRC), an international non-profit
organization that provides refugees with humanitarian relief and resettlement services.
While working for the IRC, she also volunteered for IRC's summer youth academy during
her spare time. During her first and second years of law school, Patricia interned
for the Federal Public Defenders Office, U.S. Attorney’s Office, New Jersey Office
of the Attorney General, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
During the summer of 2019, Patricia worked for Calcagni & Kanefsky, LLC, a boutique
litigation and investigations firm that represents clients in criminal, civil, and
regulatory matters. Patricia enjoys learning about the impact of technology on consumer
data privacy and the effects of big data analytics in our day-to-day lives. In her
free time, she likes to hike, cook, and spend time with her family.
