Meet Amy Gopinathan, an Institute for Privacy Protection Student Fellow 2018-2019
Amy Gopinathan was a Student Fellow for the 2018-2019 academic year. She received
her A.B. in history with a concentration in the Near East and a certificate in Creative
Writing from Princeton University in 2014. After graduating, she worked as a tutor
and spent time researching and assisting on creative projects. Both of these experiences
reinforced the ubiquitous and seemingly omnipotent nature of technology and social
media. Although these forces have helped shape society in positive ways, they also
have provided a slew of practical challenges. Amy's love of problem-solving, among
other things, led her to Seton Hall. In Summer 2018, she interned with the Federal
Trade Commission’s Northeast Regional Office in Manhattan. In her free time, Amy enjoys
writing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
