President Nyre and Regent Chair Kevin Marino ’84 made a decision early in the pandemic that Seton Hall University would not simply survive the pandemic but would push forward in imagining and implementing a vision for Seton Hall’s future. Dr. Nyre’s One University approach to leadership ensures that the Law School figures prominently in the University’s aspirations. Seton Hall’s strategic plan, Harvest Our Treasures, encompasses every aspect of the University with a particular focus on investment in academics. Dr. Nyre’s One University approach to leadership ensures that the Law School figures prominently in the University’s aspirations. With the support of Dr. Nyre and Dr. Katia Passerini, Seton Hall’s Provost, the Law School is focusing on the fundamentals necessary to continue to strengthen our national standing, thereby increasing the power of the Seton Hall Law degree for Seton Hall Lawyers. A drive to increase our endowment represents an investment in securing the permanence of student scholarships and our signature academic programs. Continued investment in faculty enables us to grow our curriculum to include emerging legal areas such as gaming and energy and to expand our clinical offerings in the Center for Social Justice. This is all to assure you that while the pandemic continues to require us to be nimble and creative, Seton Hall Law thrives. A large measure of our success is because of alumni and friends support of our vision, for which we are grateful.
