We offer interested applicants broadened admissions criteria with additional paths to a law degree through merit-based scholarships, full-time weekday programs and part-time weekend programs.
Incoming Class Profile 2020-21
Total enrollment: 721 J.D. students. A total of 2080 applications were received with 258 J.D. student matriculants (223 day and 35 weekend students).
Age, Ethnicity, and Gender: Matriculant ages were between 20-24 (62%), 25-29 (26%), 30-39 (8%), and 40 and up (3%). Matriculant ethnicity includes white (68%), two or more ethnic groups (13%), asian (8%), hispanic or latino (3%), black (3%), and other (5%). Gender among matriculants was 49% women and 50% men.
31% of matriculants came to Seton Hall Law directly from college. 13% held advanced degrees prior to enrolling from 112 undergraduate colleges and universities from 20 states.
The median LSAT and GPA for all incoming J.D. students was 158/3.55. The 75th percentile LSAT and GPA for all incoming J.D. students was 160/3.78. The 25th percentile LSAT and GPA for all incoming J.D. students was 154/3.31. The median LSAT and GPA for Full-time incoming J.D. students was 158/3.55. The 75th percentile LSAT and GPA for Full-time incoming J.D. students was 160/3.79. The 25th percentile LSAT and GPA for Full-time incoming J.D. students was 154/3.31. The median LSAT and GPA for Part-time incoming J.D. students was 157/3.55. The 75th percentile LSAT and GPA for Part-time incoming J.D. students was 161/3.66. Seton Hall Law class of 2019's overall bar passage rate for first-time test-takers in July 2019 was 90.44%.
Annual tuition and fees for the Law School are $56,494 for incoming full-time students and $42,370 for incoming part-time students for the 2020-21 academic year.
