The newest addition to Seton Hall Law School’s curriculum, Hospitality Law, is an important piece of the GHamES program. Hospitality law, which encompasses the food & beverage services, tourism & travel entities, and the hotel & lodging business, is deeply interconnected with entertainment, sports, and gaming law. Hospitality infrastructure often defines the face of our places and affects what kind of economic development can occur there. More and more, casinos, sports arenas, restaurants, and hotels serve multiple purposes and require sophisticated legal minds capable of navigating complex questions involving premises liability, labor and employment law, franchising, licensing, land use and development, and real estate finance.

Curriculum

A Seton Hall Law School education prepares students with rigorous coursework and applied learning opportunities that ensure that students are ready to contribute to their chosen field immediately upon graduation. Students seeking a career in Hospitality Law should take Introduction to Hospitality Law and can elect to take additional courses including Labor Law, Employment Law, Employment Discrimination, Intellectual Property, Gaming Law, Entertainment Law & Sports Law from our Intellectual Property, International Law, International Business Transactions, and Franchising and Construction Law.  Hospitality Law is at its core an exciting global business, that always is focused on building new venues. We are constantly reviewing our curriculum to ensure that our courses reflect the newest developments in the industry and prepare our students to succeed.
