ABOUT
Seton Hall Law's Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate Program is a 4-day intensive review of global privacy and cybersecurity laws and compliance standards led by a faculty of Seton Hall Professors and experienced practitioners. In addition to learning about legal and compliance standards, participants will have opportunities to interact with each other and with faculty on case studies involving risk management, privacy by design, and data breach response. Participants will receive a Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate Program Certificate from Seton Hall Law School.
The Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate Program is suitable for legal, compliance, and other professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge and credentials in the vital and rapidly developing field of privacy and cybersecurity compliance.
Bonus: Participants in the Data Privacy and Security Compliance Certificate Program can also register at no cost (a savings of $250) for the Certified Information Privacy Professional / US (CIPP / US) Bootcamp held virtually on Tuesday, June 21.

CERTIFICATE PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

This intensive four (4) day program for Data Privacy Compliance is designed to:
- Promote a deep understanding of key aspects of U.S. federal and state regulatory frameworks, including business impacts due to recent legislation such as CCPA
- Provide an in-depth analysis of key international regulatory frameworks and requirements, including GDPR
- Develop an ability to assess risks and redesign business practices that may violate current or anticipated regulatory requirements
- Provide an in-depth discussion of data breaches, including recent litigation and case studies on management of breach response
- Offer a deep-dive analysis into the privacy and cyber security risks presented by third party relationships
- Promote an understanding of the nexus between privacy and cyber security and provide insights into the threat landscape related to these issues
- Highlight the potential impacts of emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Learn foundational principles of Privacy By Design and methods to incorporate them into key business practices
- Facilitate networking and professional growth

The Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® has approved this event for up to 24.9 live CCB CEUs based on a 50-minute hour, each..
