This course examines industry-specific approaches with an eye toward transactional practices and insulation from liability, as well as typical workplace and consumer issues. It further provides critical terminology, terms of art, and stakeholders. In addition, it uses cases to illustrate structural issues in hiring and treatment in the workplace, such as gender and race-based discrimination. Lastly, it identifies past, present, and potentially future disruptions to the industry, showing how artists, companies, and lawyers have adjusted (or plan to adjust).
